Do I need experience before joining?⌄
No experience is required. Our Beginner pathway starts with safety fundamentals, basic chemistry principles, and foolproof starter recipes. We recommend beginning with Cold Process Foundations if you are entirely new to soap making.
Are materials included in the course?⌄
Courses clearly list any required materials and quantities. We do not ship supplies directly. Instead we provide vetted vendor lists, current pricing ranges, and usage calculations so you can source everything locally or online with confidence.
Is it safe to work with lye?⌄
Absolutely—when the correct protocols are followed. Every course teaches proper PPE usage, precise mixing techniques, ventilation requirements, and neutralization verification steps. You remain responsible for complying with all local safety regulations.
How do refunds and cancellations work?⌄
Self-paced courses: full refund within 7 days if less than 20% of content has been viewed. Live cohorts: fully refundable up to 72 hours before the start date. We cannot refund third-party supply purchases made outside our platform.
Do you provide certificates of completion?⌄
Yes. Students receive a shareable digital certificate upon successful completion of all assessments and projects. While not an accredited academic credential, it strengthens portfolios and supplier accounts.
Can I access lessons on mobile devices?⌄
All content is fully responsive and optimized for phones and tablets. For detailed design and recipe scaling lessons, we still recommend a laptop or desktop screen for the best experience.
Do courses cover starting a soap business?⌄
Yes—pricing strategy, label compliance basics, batch documentation, and brand positioning are included. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice; please consult licensed professionals for those areas.
What’s the difference between cohorts and self-paced?⌄
Live cohorts include weekly Q&A calls, scheduled peer critiques, and community deadlines. Self-paced offers lifetime access with no instructor feedback windows—ideal if you prefer to learn on your own schedule.
What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?⌄
Every formula lists known allergens and offers unscented or hypoallergenic alternatives. Students are responsible for patch-testing finished products before personal use or sale.
